We invite you to an unforgettable adventure with the Krka river and its hidden gems. We will start at the waterfall called Roški Slap. Owing to its countless cascades, referred to by locals as necklaces, and beautiful, pristine nature, it is a true oasis for those seeking a retreat. Roški Slap the sixth and one but last waterfall on the Krka river, located at 36km from its spring. There are many caves and fortresses which remind of the turbulent past of this place. During our trip we will have a chance to move down the river and take in the outstanding views. We will then visit the Krka monastery, being another hidden gem in the area. Located on the right bank of the river, this orthodox monastery, together with the adjacent orthodox St. Archangel Michael church built in Byzantine style are a true treat for art connoisseurs. The monastery complex was mentioned for the first time in 1402. Legend has it that it is set in the very location where St Paul made his prophecies about believing in Christ. He is said to have stopped here during his pilgrimage to Rome in the 60s of the 1st century AD in order to tell the locals about Christ. During a guided tour we will see the monastery complex and visit the temple as well as the catacombs located underneath.
