We would like to invite you to experience an unforgettable adventure with Neretva, which is one of the most beautiful and longest rivers of the Balkan peninsula. It takes its origins from the Dinaric Alps and flows through Bosnia and Herzegovina, forming numerous canyons and gorges, ending directly in the Adriatic Sea on the Croatia’s side. This is the place of enormous delta – backwaters, often called the Croatian California. Neretva, not only had been hugely meaningful to local people, it also has historic significance. This is where the Neretva Battle of 1943 took place; which had inspired making an Oscar-nominated movie with the same title. Our tour will start from Ploče area, which had been a significant Adriatic port in times past. In the last section, we will have a chance to take a cruise by traditional boats. These Croatian ‘lađe’ was used to transport commodities and household animals from one bank to another. Nowadays, a marathon is organised and it takes place each year in the middle of the summer season. Whilst on boats, you will have the chance to taste home-made produce, such as aperitif and seasonal fruit or dry dates. Following the panoramic cruise, you will reach a picturesque place where you will be served with dinner made of local specialties. The fantastic atmosphere, live music, tasty food and friendly owners will guarantee unforgettable moments and you will certainly wish to return here on several occasions.
