We welcome you to an unforgettable adventure to the Neretva River and its treasures. Neretva River is one of the longest rivers of the Balkan Peninsula. Its length is 225km and it originates from Bosnia and Herzegovina and flows into the Adriatic on the Croatian side. This is where it forms a vast reservoir – delta. The Neretva River’s delta is one of the largest ornithological areas in Europe; there is an abundance of fish – both freshwater and seawater fish. This is also one of the most important agricultural areas in Croatia. Due to the mild climate, Delta is often defined as ‘the Croatian California’ and it is popular for fruit and vegetable cultivation, particularly citruses, mainly tangerines. During the trip, we will have a chance to participate in the harvesting of tangerines. Wonderful weather, high spirits, and a treat will brighten our time at the plantation. After the successful harvesting, we will invite everyone for the panoramic cruise with antique boats that are over 100 years old, which in the past were used to serve the locals to transport the food and pets from one bank of the river to another. Now, every year in the mid-summer on Neretva River, a boat marathon is organised, which attracts many foreign tourists and locals. As part of the cruise, we will be cruising along Neretva’s channels and admire the virgin and wild nature. Following all these attractions, we will have a true feast at the local restaurant with live music in the background. We will have the opportunity to taste fine local delicacies along with the great Croatian wine.
