“''In twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade wind sin your sails.”

RAFTING
Are you tired of being in a hurry? Are you dreaming of experiencing something exciting? So, what would you say about river rafting in Croatia?
What is rafting? Few people embark a pontoon and starts off down the raging, mountainous river by pushing off the paddles. Under the guidance of an instructor (skipper), who is steering the pontoon, again and again, you will get to submerge into the rumbling waters by overcoming the treacherous gorges, cascades and even waterfalls. Nobody stays dry in this adventure! The essence of rafting is to swim along a given distance when utterly being soaked and excited with screams of joy.
What is the best place for rafting in Croatia? Cetina river is one of the most favourite places for extreme sport lovers. The river is 104 km long and it wades through the long and fascinating canyon, between two mountain massifs; Mosor and Biokovo. In the rainy season, it can transform into the rapid and wild river.
On the way to rafting, you will pass by a picturesque Omiš town. Cetina is ideal for senior crafting, combined with water plays and bathing in Studenci waterfall. Along the river banks, there are a number of beautiful straits. The most popular rafting river section is in its lower course, specifically the part from Pavića Bridge to Radmanove Mlinice restaurant. Prior to the rafting, you will be equipped (with life vests, helmets and paddles) as well as instructed by a skier on what to do during the rafting. You will always be left with an unforgettable view of Studenci waterfall and a treacherous Oblaćnik step. An interesting fact is that the Native American Winnetou movie was shot in the area. The Cetina adventure lasts for few hours, however, the memorable rafting will become a life-long experience!!!
Omiš is a small Central Dalmatian town and port situated between Split and Makarska. It is located at the estuary of Cetina River into the Adriatic Sea. In the past, Omiš had been a pirate base, and pirates were believed to be one of the most dangerous set of people across the Mediterranean Sea. The evidence to suggest the Omiš turbulent history can be seen all around. The ancient town, its churches and surrounding fortresses, form quiet rocks – the remnants of the strength and the power of the then pirates. Today, Omiš is an exquisitely beautiful tourist centre located in the very heart of the eastern Adriatic coast. The appealing Cetina river and its canyon, the rocky beauty – Dinara, Mosorand Babnjaća mountains, aged olive groves and vineyards as well as the neighbouring Central Dalmatia islands, all form an atmosphere of a fantastic beauty.
Please bring bathing suits, towels, water shoes. And don’t forget a great sense of humour…
