We will welcome you to the demonstration of preparing soparnik – a dish, its origin are closely linked to the previous Republic of Poljica. Soparnik has also been included on the Croatian list of protected cultural heritage and it received a protected geographical indication.
Soparnik is a fasting dish made of dough, Swiss chard (mangold), onion, and garlic. In the past, it was prepared during the Lent time on Great Friday, Christmas Eve, or on the day preceding the All Saints’ Day. Today, it is served during special occasions.
