Since 1985, Krka river area has been counted as the national park. It is the eight and the most recent national park of Croatia. It is situated within Šibenik-Knin County and comprises an area of 109 km². The Krka River flows from the foothills of the Dinaric Alps, near Knin, however, its current ends in the Adriatic Sea. The abundance of flora and fauna of the park, picturesque landscapes stretching from viewpoints and the sound of the flowing water will make a visit to the park a true relaxing balsam for the body and the soul.
